Saturn came down

leeks

A couple nights ago, some quesadillas were made with leeks, because they were only 89 cents. . . and they were beautiful with all their ellipses in the sink. Goat cheese, havarti and whole wheat tortillas, meet sour cream, and nectarine, lime and garlic salsa and of course, a little bit of bacon. . . one of the most unusual combos I’ve thrown together lately, very good, but no offense leeks, I think onions would have been just a little bit better.

I can’t believe you didn’t at least call and say it’s all gone now but guess what I just made. I mean, I’m sure it’s no chicken pot pie (nothing else could ever be) but I’ll be danged if that doesn’t sound a ringing close second.

I know, it’s that I love quesadillas / anything Mexican food, it’s right up there with chicken pot pie for me. That’s the measurement I use. This sounds like a second place behind the pie. In other words, very high on the list.

lovely ellipses. circles (and ovals and egg-shapes) in nature fascinate me.
