This is the view from the top of the stairs, night of our Christmas show. I wanted there to be more strands, but I’d say I’m happy with these. . . don’t ask, I’m not selling them anymore, you can buy some similar ones from this lady.

Found this guy, Joshua Yeldham on a fav art blog, dear ada. His work is amazing, I love it, I love it, I love it. The colors are phenomenal. I love his Hawkesbury River series, I wish so very badly that I could see them in person.

Marshall found these candles in a kitchen drawer while I was making dinner. For an hour he made little arrangements only saying the word “make” now and then. He laid them here and there so purposefully. He loves assembling things. . . below a tower I found one evening when I walked into his room.

Here I am, I have just cleaned my house from top to bottomest, I have eaten two, count them, two deathly chocolate brownies (Chris-”where does the term brownie points come from. . .”) and my child is freshly put down to nap. Top photo, notice the sexy hand trying to keep my slouchy shirt on, my new fashion obsession, hides the lazy foodie mother love handles so well and looks so dang good with this mohair pom-pom necklace. My bed has been laced with white fuzz every night as I twist out these poufs and watch cop shows. I love them and I love making them. Pom-poms not cop shows (actually I am addicted to cop shows also, though I haven’t made any lately) I feel as though maybe I should sell some of these. . .its perfect, I can sit in bed and make them and still watch tv. Also, though she makes them, and her and her and her. . . I haven’t come across any that I feel are just right for me, I wish there was a bigger selection out there. . . also I was thinking they would be great as garland and as present toppers mixed with these tags. Second photo commentary, notice how my desk as been overthrown by toddler creativity and then notice the blue painter tape holding down the flash. My eyes are so tired! And I tuck back my arm to hide the string of bugbites I received this morning. But man, I just now saw that the bit of arm you can see is as fuzzy as the pom poms! I promise it is blonde, its just magnified in the sunlight. ha.

Bottom photo, more fluffy ornaments from the show, I promise you will see more show photos, so many I still have to sort through.

Rearranged the entire gallery at White Whale today (all day) with Sarah and Caroline. . . it looks good! Tomorrow is the big night, I am so not ready! These evergreen ornaments are so ready though, I drew them over Thanksgiving, and then strung them with strings and scattered silver pieces over them via brush, paint and scotch tape (yes, scotch tape) stencils. I love them! I hope other people will. . .

piniata1

Just in time for metallic inspiration. . . I know its just an UO catalog, but I really love this one, I love the blingy party duds, yes I said blingy party duds. They are PartyParty by Confettisystem. . . I remember seeing some small photos of a fabulous silver pinata in Domino (sigh). So finally, some full full page spreads for oogling.

You saw it before, it grew a little more and now it lies flat in an empty room ready and waiting for varnish. Just puzzle the pieces together in your head, I need to wait until its hung on a wall for a full photo.

I love the pale blue garland running up the side (farther than what is showing) its my favorite part!

I told people I was working on pendants for necklaces (still to be revealed) then I happened to show them these before the said jewelry, and they assumed these clover paintings were intended to hang off their necks, ha! Actually I think the paintings are just sold, but I wanted to post them anyways. . .I am so in love with the white Aura latex paint, its like porcelain, I love the subtle textures that you can’t see in this photo, oops.  The tag and the string (thank you Royal Buffet history) are also coated with the paint, they are stiff and opaque white like a bit of sculpture.
