Once again

I think I mentioned yesterday that we finally met artist Kent Ambler when he stopped by our studio over the weekend. I just discovered that he has a new website (I hadn’t been on it in quite awhile) and I flipped through the new art section only to discover these fabulous woodcuts. Owl, heavens! The mockingbird, pink! CAKE! At this point I do have to wonder, I think that God created certain people, very different people, but gave them particular strains of likes. . . if you like birds, you will like bugs, if you like bugs, you will like moths, if you like moths, you will like trees, if you like trees, you will like owls, if you like owls you will like cake. Perhaps there were people made to love big things like skies and seas and mountains and perhaps there are people to love small perfectly crafted things, like dogs and birds and plants and children and cake. I can think of a few of those people right now, self-included. (though I do like mountains) (I don’t have any plans to draw any, any time soon)(but I have wanted to draw cake)
