Green is always wet

My long time friend Annalisa and I are having a show here in March. We needed some reference photos.
Today we were crazy and brave, we took two babies in the rain to the spectacular Carl Sandburg Home in Flat Rock, NC. It was terrible and beautiful, wet muddy children in cold rain and a landscape so deep and green it could make a poet out of anyone. (even a frustrated mother?)
Gentle, sweet goats. . . bright yellow gingo leaves scattered under thick bamboo. . . wet pines by a dark lake. . .
Mud puddles, goat poop and toddlers don’t mix well with camera’s, I didn’t get many good photos, but we did get a little goat!


I am in love with Marshall’s pom-pom!
isn’t it huge! i didn’t make it i confess, just a thrift store find. . .but i do need to make more pom-poms, they are so cool. . .
