We have a lot of trees in our yard and I think all of them are nut producing. . .walnuts (rotting black balls that leave forever stains on our feet), pecans and hundreds of the prettiest brown acorns I have ever seen. I am one of those sweater-loving heat-haters, I honestly live for fall and I adore winter. . .needless to say this hasn’t been a good fall for me, its still in the seventies! 83 predicted for friday!? seriously!?
Marsh and I had the best time ever collecting those shiny copper nuggets, we got a huge dish of them for the porch. I wish their hats weren’t so prone to falling off, the little caps are the best part. I love them in their natural state. . . but the some how I feel as though I should paint them and make little ornaments or wreaths or candle holders. . . I’m glad I typed that, it really does sound dreadful in writing. I think I’ll leave them as is after all. . .
creepy purple detached fingers…
shut it christopher.
I’m a victim of the forever-stain. Ruined a brand new pair of Reeboks. Thanks for mentioning it.
Thanks for posting…it really looks great!
These are beautiful photographs, Annie! Hi from Julie W. (Met you at the Wheaton College Church Art Festival.)
Hey Julie! Chris here; of course we remember you! We still have that beautiful ink calligraphy piece of yours that we need to frame…! Hope you’ve been doing well and keeping busy with good stuff.
i rather like the idea of making ornaments with them, perhaps tied intermittently to some fine thread, with a few feathers?
the photographs are beautiful.
